IAP Monitoring is an activity conducted by school supervisors who visit trainees at various companies. The goal is to ensure trainees apply the theoretical knowledge gained in school to real-world work environments, thereby enhancing their practical skills. Supervisors evaluate the trainees' progress and provide feedback to ensure effective skill development throughout their placement.
The school-based IAP is currently being implemented by Level 3 trainees in three trades: Building Construction, Food and Beverage Operations, and Public Works. Trainees are assigned practical tasks designed to last several weeks, such as renovating classrooms and constructing the school’s perimeter fences. These tasks are selected to develop long-term skills while directly improving school infrastructure. Building-related activities are managed by the Building Construction and Public Works trades.
